Getting the Body you want for Smart People

Fitness

Most people when asked want to get fitter, but what does that mean. Fitness means different things to different people.

One person’s idea of fitness might be being able to run a marathon, another’s to be able to bench press 300lbs and still another to walk 2 miles. So fitness is relative, some what to get fit so they can be better at a certain sport, rugby, sailing or table tennis. Others so they don’t feel so tired after looking after the kids all day.

My idea of fitness is a level that means you are free from muscular aches and pains and strong enough to carry out all the tasks you need. Cardiovascularly fit enough to be able to do all the things you want, now that is obviously very different for different people. Fitness levels and the attainment of fitness also depends on your age, sex and your history of activity. Someone who has always been active will be fitter than someone who has led a seditary lifestyle.

Here you will find articles on different approaches to improve your fitness, I will be adding to these weekly so hopefully you will find an article that suits your needs.
